Background Basics...

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I had and it is so nice to be at home (in Poland) and enjoying the season with family.

I’m popping in today to share two cards for A Passion for Papertrey blog. Yesterday has started a new challenge. The challenge is all about background stamping. We'd love for you to play along with us and design a card using a background set into your project. A great stamp set is up for grabs to one lucky winner as well!

Here are my samples, both inspired by the Moxie Fab World Glitter Is Glam Challenge. As I've mentioned before I'm addicted to glitter! I made them using a stamp from Guide Lines set. The sentiment comes from Blooming Button Bits set. Both are super quick and easy to make!

Pretty Pearls Challenge

Today starts a new challenge at A Passion for Papertrey Blog. It’s all about pretty pearls, and here is my sample:

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!

I've always been a fan of red berries on Christmas cards. There's something so pretty about them. To create my card I used the leaves from the Blooming Button Bits set with white embossing powder and red pearls. Don't they look cute together? I also added a baker's twine, printed sentiment and a piece of red punched border.

Be sure to check out A Passion for Papertrey Blog to see the rest of gorgeous cards, as well as all the details. I hope you'll get a chance to play along! It’s fun but there is also a great prize to win!

Let it snow!

Hope you are having a nice weekend! I’m just popping in to show my first DT card for My Cute Stamps. My stamps came through the post today and I simply couldn't resist trying them straight away!

Let it snow!

I used the snowflakes and sentiment from Let it Snow set, with red embossing powder. Some time ago I was searching the internet for some nice ice skates pattern and I found this great template by Melyssa Connolly.
It’s also my second card for the Moxie Fab World Challenge: Glitter Is Glam. I'm totally addicted to glitter!

Holiday Season

I finally started my holiday season. Well, as they say, better late than never.I have no chance to take a picture of every single card, but I’ll try to share at least some of them.

Today’s card is inspired by two challenges. The colour inspiration came from beautiful photo from Jay Gee's Nook challenge #2. Btw, it’s one of my favourites Christmas colour combos.
I was also inspired by the Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge, which was to create a card with a texture. I love when cards look delicate and a little bit rough at the same time, so I used a red distress embossing powder for my background, lots of glitter and a piece of twine:

ETA: It is also my entry to the latest Moxie Fab World Challenge: Glitter Is Glam (what a great coincidence!)

Happy December

It’s December already, can you believe it?! Time flies so fast! It’s not the best time of year for me, too busy and too cold, but this year December has began just great! A few days ago I’ve received an email from Holy from My Cute Stamps with amazing news. I was chosen to be on the My Cute Stamps design team! I’m so delighted and can’t wait to get started!

I am also very honoured to be featured stamper over at A Passion For Papertrey blog this month! Thank you Aimes, Kate and Caryn for this honour!

I'm so happy that I nearly forgot (again) about my today’s card. I’ve made it a while ago for my friend and I totally forgot about it until I saw Congratulations Challenge in the Moxie Fab World:

 Congratulations...

Back on track

I haven’t been able to create anything lately. It’s really dark and miserable outside and for the last week or so I’ve been struck down with flu. I’m feeling much better but still very weak. I have a lot of catching up to do and the days are so short…

However, I'm happy to be back (slowly) on track again and I just found out that I’m one of three October Gallery Challenge winners over at Paper Crafts Connection. I am super delighted!

My latest card is inspired by this months' Hero Arts challenge:

It’s a slight variation on card I made a few months ago (you can see it HERE), as I needed quick birthday card ;)

Autumn Sunday

Last Sunday was such a great day! And it’s not only because of the beautiful weather but also due to the fact that was PTI Make and Take afternoon in Sheffield, organised by Kate and Aimes over at Passion for Papertrey blog.
So much fun to sit down with a wonderful group of ladies and… make cards :) It was really nice to meet all crafty ladies in person. Thank you Kate and Aimes for organising it! I had a really great time!

I also enjoyed the beautiful way to Sheffield with very picturesque hills:

Isn't this just beautiful?
That amazing view inspired me to make this card:

Mr & Mrs

If you are member of Hero Arts flickr group you might know that today is Jenny and Jason’s wedding day! Here is my card for a surprise virtual wedding card shower to celebrate this special day.

I embossed this lovely lace background stamp by Hero Arts with clear embossing powder and then I used the Weathered Wood distress ink to colour it. I also used the Flower Soft for the text. It’s my first time ever playing with it and I love that texture.

WCMD and ♥CARING HEARTS CARD DRIVE ♥

Yesterday was World Card Making Day. Isn’t that great that there is a day dedicated to making cards? It was quite busy weekend for me but I couldn’t resist making some cards on this occasion. Hope you have had some fun too!

I made these cards for a challenge over at Hero Arts blog. The challenge was to create a project using your favourite colours. As you can guess one of my favourite is kraft brown but I just love all natural colours. I used here the Engraved Fruits set, orange ink and masking technique.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hero Arts Blog Hop

Today is the very first ever blog hop at the Hero Arts Flickr group . As I’m very young blogger it’s also a very first blog hop for me :)

I thought it’s a great occasion to finally try out the Poppy Background stamp. I embossed the poppies with clear ep and added some paper piecing.
Here is the result:
